RESCUE MISSION: HENRY

Henry's story definitely brought tears to my eyes; it was so touching and such a happy ending! He was such a good boy in the studio and his momma had nothing but GOOD things to say about him. Here's his story and try not to cry! "Henry is around 3 years old this year. He came to us through Pet Connect Rescue out of Maryland. We were going through a personal hardship of losing our dog of over 12 years and miscarrying. While all this was happening, my husband and I were coming home to a lonely house. Animals are our family and even the cat was sad and grieving. We decided that we were ready to make our house a home again with another new addition.

We found Henry through this rescue and knew that we were ready. Chad wanted a schnauzer type dog and I just wanted something on the smaller side due to having a farm. We have enough large animals!! We went and met Henry, and he drove home with us that day. He came from a not so friendly situation to say the least, which is why we need rescues. We need them to work with these dogs and get them to a home like ours. Henry kept us on our toes, he needed manners and to learn what it was like to live in a house and be part of a family! He had some quirks that we had to learn to work with. We took him to obedience classes where he flourished.

He helps us now on the farm and runs with us. He also became a 4-legged big brother in June 2016! He protects his “human sister”, lets her pull his fur as she is learning to pet, gets drooled on, and gets treats as she eats one bite and gives one to him! Henry is one in a million, loves unconditionally and truly sets a standard that rescues can really do anything!"
